"What Not to Wear" and Lee Lee's Valise Rescue Woman From Her "Mom Jeans"

Today, TLC's What Not to Wear came to visit Lee Lee’s Valise. We were introduced to Gina, a plus-size petite, which posed a very interesting obstacle for the "What Not to Wear" stylists.

Gina learned so many ways to dress her shape. She is a petite plus pear-shaped woman in her thirties. Today it was all about the jeans, but even more about tailoring. Gina is a serial “mom jean” wearer and but broke her bad habit today in Lee Lee’s Valise! Svoboda strikes again! The Annie five-pocket boot cut jean prevailed and she left the store with the dark wash denim and the velvet corduroy. Stacy and Clinton totally drained their fashion font of knowledge today explaining all the technical points of tailoring which is especially for petites!

I will give you two tips today, but then you will have to catch the rest when the episode airs in February 2010.

1.    Look for jeans with a waist that comes up no higher than one inch below your belly button.
2.    Cut out those long pockets if you can clearly see them reaching your knee.

Are you a petite plus…..do you tailor?
